How does the mobile alteration service work?
You book a visit online or by phone. Your Dr. Alter tailor arrives at your address at the agreed time, assesses your garments, pins the required alterations and collects everything. We return the garments fitted, pressed and ready to wear — typically within 3–5 days.
Is there a minimum spend for a home visit?
Dr. Alter does not require a minimum alteration spend for a home visit, unlike many London mobile tailoring services that require £150–200 minimum. A visit fee applies depending on your location — this is confirmed when you book.
Do you cover my area in London?
Dr. Alter currently covers Central London and a number of surrounding areas. Check our coverage area page or call us to confirm your postcode before booking.
How long do alterations take?
Standard alterations are returned within 3–5 working days. Express turnaround is available on request. Garments are collected at your fitting and returned to your address — no second journey needed.
