Visit fees
A visit fee covers the tailor’s travel and consultation. It is confirmed at booking and depends on your postcode. There is no minimum alteration spend at Dr. Alter.

Booking FAQs
Is there a cancellation policy?
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled without charge up to 24 hours before the visit. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur the visit fee. We understand that plans change — please contact us as early as possible if you need to rearrange.
What if I need to add garments after booking?
Contact us after booking to add garments to your order. If the appointment needs to be extended, we will do our best to accommodate this — or schedule a follow-up visit.
Can I book for an office building?
Yes — specify the building name, floor and any visitor access instructions in the booking form. We serve offices across the City, Canary Wharf, Mayfair and other business areas.
Can I book for a hotel?
Yes — specify the hotel name, room number and check-out date so we can plan the turnaround and return within your stay.
